Accepted
I had a really nice day today. Bret and I stopped by DeVos of Governor HQ to drop off a car for his wife. Then we stopped by Ice Cream Joe’s. I got my usual Black Cherry – yum! We had originally hoped to catch Clerks 2, but the Lansing area was down to one showing in all of its theaters, at midnight. So I missed that last chance and I’ll have to wait for DVD. (I’ll probably miss Superman Returns too. As it is right now, I have to catch it at IMAX, which seems expensive for a movie that no one is raving about.)
Anyway, we ended up seeing Accepted. I hadn’t seen anything on it, but Bret had seen the preview, and thought it looked pretty funny. It did end up being pretty funny. I enjoyed it. I particularly enjoyed the bits with Lewis Black – that man rockzors! It was fun, but ordinarily I probably would have waited for the DVD.
After words Bret and I solved the universal health care needs of America within the bounds of conservative thought - half way. We found that fast walking through East Lansing is good for the thought processes. Just one small, tiny hurdle remains. (Ask for details.) When I figure that one out I’ll let you all know. We finished the night up at my seemingly favorite restaurant, Applebee’s. Good times.
